Order and delivery terms and conditions

General information about the online store
The Geological Survey of Finland (GTK), business ID 0244680-7, sells products in the online store to private customers over the age of 18 as well as companies and other organisations in Finland and abroad. The prices include value added tax. We reserve the right to change prices and handling charges. Products that are free of charge may not be resold.
Placing an order
Products are ordered online at the address www.gtk-kauppa.fi by using the shopping basket. All orders will be confirmed by an e-mail including delivery, product and price information. Payment confirmation will be sent in a separate message. To receive order and payment confirmations, a valid e-mail address must be submitted when placing an order. The customer must accept the terms and conditions valid at the time of placing the order. Registered customers may review the contents of their orders through their user account via the website.
Products and handling charges are paid for when placing the order. The accepted forms of payment in the online store are: Nordea, Osuuspankki, Danske Bank, Tapiola, Aktia, Nooa, Paikallisosuuspankit (POP Bank), Säästöpankit (Savings Banks), Handelsbanken, S-Pankki, Ålandsbanken netbanks and major credit cards. Payments are processed through Paytrail Oyj's website.
Payments with Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard
If you want to pay with Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard cards, acts GTK:s online store only as the marketer of services and products and delivers the products to buyers. Paytrail Oyj is responsible for reclamations. Paytrail Oyj acts as the seller in Visa, Visa Electron and MasterCard payments and the deal is made between the customer and Paytrail Oyj. The seller is responsible for all deal related obligations. Paytrail Oyj is also the payment recipient.

Paytrail Oyj (FI2122839) provides netbank related payment transfer services in co-operation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. For consumer the service works exactly the same way as traditional web payments.
Delivery options and handling charges
We deliver orders as parcels or letters, depending on the size and shape of the ordered products. Parcels may be tracked via the Posti parcel tracking service. You can also choose to pick up your order from GTK's Espoo office.
Handling charges include postage and packing. The amount of handling charges is shown when you have submitted the delivery address and selected the delivery option (Stage 3. Order summary). The handling charges are dependent on the delivery address. Store delivery (GTK Espoo) is free of charge. Products that are free of charge are subject to handling charges.
Orders are usually delivered within 2–5 weekdays in Finland from the time the automatic order confirmation is sent. You will receive a new message from us when your order has been handed over to the postal service for delivery or when it is ready for pick-up at GTK's Espoo office. We send out orders on weekdays only. The delivery time for international orders is 1–3 weeks, depending on the destination country. Notices concerning any exceptional delivery times are given in News on the online store's homepage.
Returns and exchanges policy
Customers have the right to return and exchange products within 14 days from the purchase, according to the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. Only unused items in their original packaging and fit for resale may be returned.

We cannot accept returns later than 14 days from the delivery. Once the return has been accepted, we will credit your bank account as soon as the return has been received and processed.
Problems with delivery and faulty products
If a product has gone missing during delivery, or arrives damaged or a wrong product has been delivered, customers should notify Publication Sales immediately at email@example.com or by mail at the above address. Notification of a faulty delivery or product must be made within 14 days from receiving the product. If the parcel has been damaged whilst being delivered by post, a customer complaint must be submitted also to Posti as soon as possible.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions. Customers are responsible for familiarising themselves with the valid terms and conditions when placing an order. GTK online store treats all customer information with strict confidentiality.
